Totally agree with the sentiment voiced here .. Knew there was to be a Christmas beating heart to malahide and was quite shocked to hear it was taken away so unceremoniously !

As a resident of The Green apartments in Malahide, I feel that the decision to cancel the Christmas Kingdom was done behind closed doors. We received no notice that this meeting was even taking place, so had no platform to express our views. The resulting decision considered our opinion to be less important than those who bullied their way to relocating the Christmas Kingdom . Considering the number of residents in the vicinity, I don't think the meetings small numbers can reflect but the opinion of a few. I urge you to challenge this relocation. Not to would be a tremendous mistake. The Green, being a central location, would benefit local businesses immensely, especially as there is ease of access by foot, train and bus. This would limit traffic congestion through the village. As regards to possible anti social behaviour, teenagers regularly gather on the green at present. So in my opinion, the Christmas Kingdom would give them less space and freedom to do this amidst this family orientated event. I hope that you lobby to avoid losing out on the many positives because of the concerns of a very select few.

I would love to see the Christmas Kingdom go ahead at Malahide and so would my children. Though I do also believe there should have been prior consultation to address the residents concerns in advance

No consultation-no Christmas Kingdom. Remember the summer riots in Portmarnock and Howth? Is this what you want for Malahide?

I think it is a disgrace that the Christmas Kingdom has been cancelled on such short notice against the overwhelming public opinion. It would have been a great attraction for the village and would generate great spin off business for local retailers. Personally I had a 8 year old's ice skating party booked and had hoped to use Marios afterwards for food. I still haven't told my daughter that it is cancelled. Shame on you Fingal CC.
