Save Charlies Bar

I am very disappointed in NMHS and their lack of consultation and care and consideration for staff. Staff moral is critical to staff providing quality patient care.

Inept tineared hopeless decision shows no regard for staff morale even if some staff don't use the facility one of few places in western world where Asahi black is on tap possibly should be classified as a tye 2 UNESCO site on the basis of that alone

I am very sad to see Charlies bar closing!

I honestly couldn't believe this when I heard. The Charlies bar/social club is a huge part of our social activities around work. Like so many have said already, closing Charlies Bar would be doing a huge disservice to all of us here on the QEII campus!

So sad, cost cutting from NMHS affecting patients and staff at SCGH. Don't close the Bar !

Charlies Bar/Social Club is not just an ordinary place for staff to chill after work but it also served as a knowledge hub where different health professionals meet to exchange ideas and share work experiences. It is really a shame when the effort was made to transform QE2 to become a central medical hub by bringing all the amazing health services/research like PCH, Pathwest, Perron Institute, Harry Perkins and Comprehensive Cancer Centre to the same campus and yet killing off the only safe haven for staff well being. Please consider the decision, as staff is the greatest asset of any successful organisation

The social club is all part of having a positive community and culture here at Charlies. The club rooms and bar are important for fundraising, quiz nights, Christmas functions as well as health and wellness programmes such as yoga, pilates to bring our community together outside work.

Another disincentive for talented people to work here. The bar represents more than a place for staff to causally gather ... it is a sign of a workplace that cares. It's a beacon for staff morale. Please don't hasten our move to a depressed, mediocre institution.

Charlies social club has been around for years, it would be a great loss to SCGH if they closed it!!

We need a place that the hard working staff at Charlies can gather and have some fun together. It's a great place to meet fellow workers, to relax and to get to know each other better. Charlies bar contributes to the positive morale of the hospital. Please do not let it close.

This is an appalling decision by the bureaucrats with no inkling of the value this club has provided for QEII staff. Let's find our yellow vests!

Keep the Charlie's Bar open. Healthy work life balance spot for us!!!

A great place for staff to get together after work, convenient and affordable. It would be a great shame if it closed.
