I am a regular user of the gym and social club. All my colleagues look forward to going to social club after a hectic day. it is such a relief to head there and just relax in this ever increasing hectic life. it will; be a shame to close this down. It is nice to have some place like this to consider the staff as humans and not robots working day in and out

Keep Charile's Bar open! This is an important (essential) component to a healthy work/life balance for workers on the QEII campus.

What else can be taken away from the workers- the ones that do the real work??!!

In such challenging times in health, surely a relatively small investment or support for staff moral and informal support delivers substantial value for money. The current move & resulting closure of Charlie's Bar is a very sad reflection of the regard of NMHS executive and/or Board for staff wellbeing and moral.

Staff morale on SCGH is low already. Staff feel undervalued for the work we/they do. The social club is an important facility for people to share some downtime with colleagues when they all live in different directions - good personal relationships keep working relationships strong. It also enables staff to recognise and celebrate their colleagues socially when important events occur. Closing the social club would be an enormous loss to camaraderie.
