Maybe get some of the money back from the NMHS executives who corruptly reaped hundreds of thousands of dollars and stole money to do their home renovations, and that can fund the social club. Seriously. This is rubbish.

The high rent charged by QEII cannot be justified considering the condition of R Block. The Social Club is a massive part of why working at SCGH is enjoyable and fosters a sense of community amongst colleagues. Shame on QEII for being greedy and compromising the positive environment the Social Club creates.

staff morale is at an all time low this venue closing will further impact on this as many staff use this as perhaps their main social activity. If the reason for closure is because a commercial lease with commercial costs involved it is a very sad decision of NMHD to be putting money before staff and quite honestly unless major renovations were to be done to this area no commercial organisation would be interested in paying for this space as it now stands!!

They can't close now after 42 years .. this bar keeps a lot of us gain our sanity back after a long week of hard work, the only one within the vicinity of QEII that serves drinks with reasonable price and good atmosphere!
