Please don't close Charlie's Bar, a commercial lease for a social club is not realistic. It's a great place for QEII staff to relax and have some fun!

Many good Friday evenings spent bonding with colleagues over a beer and pizza in a convenient and fun atmosphere. I hope that can continue!

Shame we now cannot catch up with work friends for an hour or two on a Friday night. It does lower staff morale and perhaps instead of denying us an hour or two of harmless banter they could concentrate on recouping some of the monies that has been misappropriated by fairly recent events that were widely reported in the press.

Charlie's Bar is a place where many of us that work in the health industry get to unwind and meet other health staff in a social relaxed setting. This place has given us many great memories and has a real sense of community. Please help us keep Charlie's Bar running!

The social club is a facility that is highly valued and loved by all staff in health care, and it is not good enough to have a bar/club facility at QEII that only caters to doctors - this is unfair and shows an under-appreciation of all other healthcare professionals as well as the wonderful people that run the social club. The regular events such as quiz nights and other functions that are held at the facility help to lift the morale of staff and give them a wonderful place to go in an otherwise dull health campus. The Social Club needs to stay open.

Best little social club around! Great atmosphere, great wine and beer selection. It's a lovely place to wind down after a long week and have a few laughs with workmates. Do not close this bar down!

it disgraceful they are shutting this bar, this is a place where we meet with friends and make new ones. Its great for morale and our mental health. If they are closing this bar what is the real reason? and will the Drs lose theirs?

If anything needs to change, it should actually be in support of MORE social activities and events at Charlies! This place is a wonderful hub for everyone!

The Charlie's bar is incredibly important for staff morale, to improve mental health and is key for a good work life balance. Instead of closing the bar, NMAHS should be instead supporting team building events and activities to the Charlie's Social Club to improve the wellbeing of their staff members. Continuing to cut costs will only lead to poorer employee morale and higher staff turnover which in turn means worse patient care!

Charlie's bar is an iconic part of working at SCGH. No farewell or welcome is complete without a drink here. It's a great introduction to the hospital & Perth itself. Closing it down would be a shame!

Charlie's Bar is so much more than the local watering hole for QEII staff. This is a friendly, affordable and relaxed environment where clinicians, researchers, students alike can meet, catch up and form valuable personal and professional connections. Closing this bar would seriously affect social life and general interdivisional communication on this campus.
