Charles Carroll has fought for years to get improvements. When we were asked to "wait" as other areas of the county needed new schools to address capacity issues, we did so without complaint. Just the other year, the Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 to allocate $13.4 million for a new/modernized Charles Carroll however the Board of Ed CHOSE NOT to do so. Now, CCES is on the chopping block. Promises were made, it's time to KEEP those promises. Build a new or modernize CCES. Choose NOT to destroy a community.

My grandmother, 3 uncles and an aunt were custodians there most are no longer with us. I drive by that school and the memories come back. I know many kids who go there benefit from the school. I think its time that those who were elected STAND UP and speak for the kids.

I can only hope to teach at a school as wonderful as Charles Carroll in the future. I wish for my future children to attend Charles Carroll and if Charles Carroll does not exist, then I will move somewhere else with a nice, small school. CCES is more than a school, it is a home.

It would not be good for the children or the community to close charles carroll it is a wonderful part of our community with wonderful teachers and staff
