Save Charles Carroll Elementary School

I have a 6 year old daughter who is in first grade at this school. It is a wonderful caring school.

My children attended this school and they got an amazing education and were well prepared for middle school closing Charles Carroll elementary would be a tragedy for the community. Let's all rally together to keep it open.

I went to this school have a lot of memories, let's keep this school going, let's keep hope alive.

This school serves a wonderful and loyal community. Please save it!

I went to this school as a child and now my son is. He Just started and I would hate to see him start 1st grade in a whole new school after he already got used to this one.

Save our School! This is an amazing school in a very close community. Why not put a little money into upgrades and continue to let our educators educate without our children being in crowded schools with long bus rides??

this school is so worth saving - lots of history - my Dad, Dennis Nusbaum Yingling, graduated from there when it was a high school in the 1920's

I loved going to school here. It wasn't big and intimidating.

There is no need to split a community by shipping kids to different schools in opposite directions.

Nothing about closing this fine school makes any sense. Its old and needs work like many others that have been updated in recent years, yet Charles Carroll has been passed by. Why?? This small community deserves to keep its school. Our children love the school and shouldn't the children matter? Don't ship them off to who knows what school or how long they will ride a bus to get to and from. Fix, repair, rebuild... do what is right.

There's no reason to close the school and ship these poor kids off when there's plenty of land to rebuild the school

You are doing an injustice to the children and families in this community. How dare you take our school away and not replace it with a new one. We have sat patiently waiting for many years for updates while other schools were being fixed. Now that it's our turn you just don't care. I have had children in Charles Carroll for 26 years and each of those that have graduated have become successful adults. Learning starts in kindergarten and Charles Carroll has guided many students to become teachers, lawyers, doctors, nurses, executive chefs, social workers, etc. Maybe you should stop in and see how happy the children that go there are and how the teachers and administration make them successful. I have always taught my children to think before they act. Maybe you should follow those words also.

We just moved to this community and our children will be starting at Charles Carroll in the fall. We are looking forward to the "small town" atmosphere and school.

We moved to Union Mills partly because of the small community elementary school. My son is starting Kindergarten this year and it would be a shame for him to be moved after his first year.

This school is a critical centerpiece of this community. In addition, bussing elementary age children 40min each way to school each day is exhausting for them and has a negative impact on learning.

Charles Carroll was a great educational experience for me.
