I have grown up with this bookstore. Not only has it provided me with a study space, a place to meet friends, buy gifts, but it has now has meaning and memories. Please don't get rid of it!

This building is beautiful and historical, enjoyed by the entire neighbourhood - a real piece of Swansea history. It would be such a shame to see it go!

Its a shame that something like a shoppers drug mart is filling this place... Seems like a terrible waste of this beautiful theatre...

Chapters serves are community well in multiple ways being a draw to people of all ages. A shoppers drugmart will only upset the community as they already have a perfectly good location in the neighbourhood. Not to mention I find it hard to believe anyone will go hang out and relax in a shoppers drug mart as they do in the chapters for the beautiful architecture. using this gorgeous building as a drugstore will destroy its ambiance.

It is unfortunate that all decisions seem to be based on monetary bottom lines, rather than on community and continuing to serve the community in this location. Sure Chapters could afford to negotiate an acceptable rent for this location especially if we consider what they must they be paying in downtown Toronto locations?

So sad to hear that Chapters is being forced to close down. I forged many a new friendship here and always find a suitable gift/book when I need it. To be it's places like this that give our village a sense of community and some irreplaceable charm.

I've been coming here since I was two years old - I've only ever been to two other chapters and the thought of a shoppers drug mart taking over is.... beyond upsetting

This Chapters is the heart and sould of Bloor West Village. It CANNOT be turned into a Shopper's Drug Mart.

First City Books left, now Chapters? These losses take the heart out of a neighbourhood. The transformation that Chapters made from the old theatre to this bookstore were so respectful to the original architecture. Please stay.
Love this store and would be sad to see it leave!
