Why on earth do we need ANOTHEr shoppers drug mart in the area when there is a fully ufncitonal and successful one down the street. This iconic building is exactly what this area needs.

The chapters at runnymede is more than a bookstore, it is a truly iconic historical building. It's demolition would be a huge loss to the Bloor-West Village community, and to the historical community; The building is the last of its kind.

With a Shoppers Drug Mart a short distance down the street, this plan is nonsensical. Changing this heritage building to be anything other than what it is will result in the destruction of the detail and ornament that gives it character and speaks to its long history as a cultural gathering place for the community. I have been coming to Chapters Runnymede for the last 10 years and have worked there for the last 6. This space is more than just a bookstore, it is a community centre, school and home to the families and residents of Bloor West Village.

I grew up in this neighbourhood, both when it was a movie theatre and when it was a bookstore. A Shoppers would ruin the asthetic. There's also one right nearby. At least get something in there that won't ruin the look of the building inside and out. And have it still be a place of community building

My grandma worked here when it was a theater. It was my first job when I moved into Toronto. It has a lot of history not just for older generations but for this generation too.

I have lived in the area since I was a little kid and this chapters has always been there. It's been my place to buy books for school and pleasure. It has been a place to hide away, in a corner, and read for a couple of hours well looking at the beautiful remanents of the old theatre. (Which would probably be destroyed if another company took over) This chapters is not just another store in the community, it is a historical monument.

That place has such character and when you walk in it is such a warm and beautiful atmosphere dont take that away. I only go to that location when i want to buy a book or gizmo because the people are so kind and helpful

This bookstore has become more than another chain business. It is a community centre, a home, a gathering place, a landmark. Please don't take it away from us.

How dare you replace books and good achitecture with disillusioned beauty ideals

This bookstore is in the perfect location, it is loved by the Bloor village and beyond. It should stay here and not move locations. A part of our hearts will be missing if it is taken away. We have enough of everything else on this street, what do not have enough of is chapters. Please keep the bookstore in this location!
