This historic building must be saved for future generations! Once it is gone , it is gone! When those idiots destroyed Pickfair it demolished a life long dream for me. Don't let this happen to Champion studios!

I grew up less the 200 feet from this building and even as a child I knew of it's significant historical background. It became one of my inspirations to go into the enterainment industry and work in film. If I had the money I would restore it as a cultural museum on the history of the start of filmmaking that began in Coytesville, NJ.

This is not only part of Coytesville's history, it is part of the American film industry's history. We cannot lose this!!
We cannot destroy this studio. It represents the foundation of American film.

There's no excuse for this historically significant building to be brought down when it can be refurbished and turned into something viable. This is the oldest existing movie studio building in America and probably the World and it is appalling that no effort was made on the part of Englewood Cliffs to utilize this structure and support an effort to save this. Watch how fast the structure comes down now that publicity has hit the media on this historic tragedy.

What's the matter with USA? Europe, Asia, Africa, South America all have preserved their HISTORIC EDIFICES thousands of years old. In this country, developers rip down any structure no matter its historic significance for private profiteering. Show respect for our significant contribution to a global industry, take pride & promote it's local value instead of destroying.
