We are against this for the following reasons!
1. Takes away from look of community that is 100% residential.
2. Increased traffic in our community in an already heavy traffic area.
3. Large trucks in community delivering to these local businesses constantly.
4. Large dumpsters with trash and food (potentially attracting rodents).
5. Disturbance of quietness and tranquility of community.
6. Attraction of panhandling.
7. Addition of yet another fast food restaurant (Taco Bell).
8. Already have a 7 eleven 2 minutes away plus wawa and Safeway gas station and fast fuel.
9. Better location for this development would be near the royal farms.
10. Attraction of possible Illegal dumping in large trash bins (this is why HOA removing trash bin from pool house).
11. Currently across the street there is already vacant spaces/land with other commercial businesses.
12. Navy federal credit unit armored car pickups (potential for bank robbery) right in community.
13. Also each time a development is built were told it will increase our property and many in the community can attest that our property value did not increase.
14. Homeowners in Chadds Ford Landing would have a business in the back of their home. These homeowners will be impacted the most and it’s not fair for these homeowners to pay $300K plus for developers to place a a strip mall in the back of their home. Many may put their property up for sale.
15. Lastly, possibly additional commercial building.

Brandywine and Waldorf are already built up, and so much land has been torn up and developed already. What could you possibly build that isn’t already 5 minutes in any given direction? Stop building up commercial space where it is not needed, nor wanted.

We do not any more homes built in Clinton!!! There are so many vacant homes that there is no need to build these additional homes in Chaddsford either!!! Enough of this building!!! We need to keep the greenery and tranquility that attracted us to this area!!!

I live on General Gage Ct in the Chaddsford neighborhood. I am against some of the stores in the development plan due to high traffic concerns.
