Please lets work together and take an opportunity to create rather than destroy. A huge educational resource that deserves to be saved.

Canterbury is a place at the heart of England's history and identity. It is a major centre for visitors from other parts of the U.K. and from abroad and to lose one of the ways in which Canterbury succeeds in informing and engaging those visitors with our heritage would be both a cultural tragedy and a significant economic constraint on Canterbury's potential future development. It is clear that the proposal to upgrade and improve this asset offers far more to Canterbury's economic, social and cultural well being than does the proposal to simply close it down. The city council needs to work with the organisations that see a positive future for Canterbury and ensure that the Heritage Museum is enhanced and promoted for the benefit of everyone in Canterbury and ultimately for the nation as a whole.

The essence of Canterbury is in its history. The Canterbury Heritage Museum portrays that history in an effective and appealing way. Rather than closing the museum, its opening hours should be extended and its publicity should be increased. It should be the natural place for tourists to visit.

Please save the museum! It has provided such a wonderful and unique place to study the material past of Canterbury for school children, students, and researchers, whilst also being a great place to visit for visitors to the city who are eager to find out about its history! It would be a great shame if it closed.

Far too valuable an asset to consider loosing. If this museum were to be lost what on earth would be worthy about the city council's stewardship of our heritage.

The closure of this wonderful museum would be a great loss to the city. More publicity and signs needed to enable visitors to find it !

As a professor of medieval literature I attach immense value to the museum and its holdings which have an international reputation. It would reflect very poorly on there city of Canterbury, and impoverish it in the eyes of scholars and visitors alike, were it to lose such a valuable asset.

I agree that the Canterbury Heritage Museum is central to Canterbury's history and a point where all can visit to learn more. Closing this down will inevitably destroy the heritage of the city. I ask the council to think again as a taxpayer and local resident in the city.

The closure of this museum would be a great lost not only to Canterbury but the whole of Kent. Every effort should be made to keep this amazing space in public use. The collections on display would be lost as there is insufficient room to display them in the Beaney which would end up as the only general museum space in Canterbury if this closure is allowed to go ahead.

The Heritage Museum should be at the centre of Canterbury's culture. Use a proper marketing company and it would make a profit.

This is a wonderful way to tell visitors the history of Canterbury and has been greatly enjoyed by my family and friends. One of the best things about it is its location in an important Canterbury historic building, and it would a great loss to the city's attractions if it was closed..

The Heritage Museum is unique, no other museum in the city tells the story of Canterbury in such an accessible way. It is a beautiful building and a fascinating museum and it should be enjoyed by many more.
