Canterbury needs more museums. How otherwise can there be a 'Canterbury experience' reflecting the City's critical role in England's cultural and historical development?

This museum has brilliant activities for children during half terms. It has lots important historical exhibits. We love going there and would like this museum to remain open.

Don't close the Museum rather IMPROVE it by letting those who care for it take the responsibility and care for it.

This has been like watching intended vandalism from the dulling of the attraction of the front garden, the bad sign posting, the increase in the pricing to the point when it put visitors off rather than increased funds and the pointless painting over of the animals tea party window that attracted generations of children and adults to beg to be taken in. The Roman Museum will be next and all the time the Beaney has been kept free.

It would be a great shame for Canterbury to lose this building and its historic exhibits. Even if the 'best' of them go to other museums, this will be another piece of Canterbury's heritage lost to future generations which, if followed by the closure of other small sites, may gradually lessen Canterbury's appeal as a cultural historic centre.

Canterbury's Heritage and England's history. Respect, Learn, Love and Proclaim it. So much to share, pass on and promote.

I support saving the Canterbury Heritage Museum. Closure would be a retrograde step. Need to promote heritage not erase it.

Too many of these sites are being closed down, we need them kept open and together with those offering help this should be possible. Please consider all possibilities

It would be ludicrous for a city with the rich heritage and historical importance of Canterbury to carelessly discard this resource. All the more so when so many active local bodies are willing to work with or instead of the council.

Our heritage is what distinguishes Canterbury from any other small town. It has suffered in recent years through insufficient attention and publicity.
