I contend that the various forms of providing information on the history and heritage of our County and its, boroughs, towns and villages should not only be maintained but also better publicised.
Kent has been seen as the bulwark of England throughout is history and is unique in many ways.
Not only should this legacy be preserved, it should be the duty of our councils and museums to ensure public awareness and access.

It's beyond belief that the city council is proposing to close this heritage museum. In Canterbury of all places! One of the most heritage rich cities in the UK, which attracts so many visitors.

With such a willing consortium the council would be foolish to waste the opportunity to retain this facility for the residents and visitors to the city.

A very reasonable request at very little, if no expence to the Council.

Out of all the Museums in Canterbury this is the one about the City itself and should be kept

This is an excellent museum. Canterbury is about history, so we need this and it needs to be properly signposted and advertised. Canterbury is singly bad at advertising itself! Apart from the general benefit to local people and visitors, it is an great resource for our future citizens still at school.

I am appalled that the Canterbury Heritage Museum might be closed. Together with my granddaughters I have very much enjoyed visits there for many years. Please do keep it going!

The museum is currently not operated effectively. not promoted and the entrance fee ludicrously expensive. The moving of the entry from the Stour street shopfront was a particularly stupid idea!
the fees need to be slashed and then the public will come- if the place is promoted properly

I am completely in agreement with the aims of the Consortium to take over the running of the Stour Street Museum.

This is one of my favorite destinations in Canterbury. Don't let its collections and buildings lose their focus.
