Important not to dilute the number of locations where local people and visitors can experience and learn more about the city and its heritage.

A very important part of our heritage not only on a local level but considering the high number of tourists that visit Canterbury it has a national and international attraction. Therefore it should remain open.

The transform of the building and museum into a fit-for-purpose, dynamic centre for display and interaction with Canterbury's important and unique heritage by people who are fully conversant in its archaeology and history, and very successful in engaging with the public is an excellent proposal. It should be fully supported by Canterbury City Council; this museum and its comprehensive heritage collection must not be lost to current or future residents of Kent or to the many visitors to the area.

Canterbury has lost so much.....please keep this.
It was a beautiful small city when I first saw it in 1952... It has gone downhill , faster and ever faster

The museum has not been advertised sufficiently and has been closed a lot of the time so it is no wonder visitor numbers have fallen. With the right support it can be a tremendous asset to the city as well as a fabulous educational facility

The Heritage Museum is superb in its portrayal of the history of the country but centred on Canterbury. My grandchildren love the hands-on quality. It should be more widely publicised and open before 11.00

consider earlier opening time in the mornings. 11.00 a.m. is too late

I live in Folkestone, and would truly regret the museum closing. I have enjoyed taking my grandchildren to the museum as part of their education. Canterbury is a historical centre of Kent and so needs The Heritage Museum, Roman Museum and the Beany. I think if they were more widely promoted, more tourists and Kent people would visit them.

I visited Canterbury a few days ago and I was disappointed that Canterbury Heritage Museum was closed.
I wanted to learn more about the history of Canterbury and I think this museum is the best place to go to.
I hope that the museum will not be closed permanently.

The pending plans apparently not to maintain, and indeed enhance, the Canterbury Heritage Museum would be extremely detrimental to Canterbury’s heritage in general, and its unique Joseph Conrad collection in particular. I truly hope that a positive solution to this most worrying threat to the Museum and its content can be found for the benefit of all!
