Do not close this camp. Both my son's spent several years at this camp. I know that this camp made them into well rounded men. Taught them to be men. Respect others and take pride in who they are. It is located in a great spot for all scouts

Keep the camp open! Many memories and lessons learned during my time there years ago

I am president of the Penns manor football boosters and we use this camp every year for a week. The boys really enjoy doing this and I would hate to see it close...there is no where else to have this sort of camp. Living in Indiana county our options are very limited and we are thankful that we have it there to use. Please keep the fact that options are limited for this type of community in your mind when deciding whether or not to close this. Thank u

Camp Seph Mack has been instrumental in the Scouting experience for Scouts in the Laurel Highlands. Raising camp dues by a minimal amount along with fund raising might assist in keeping the camp open.

Camp Seph Mack was huge for both of my boys. It would be a shame to make kids from this region have to travel farther away. Same with the office in Ebensburg. Scouting is HUGE in this area; more so than my experience in the city and to move the office would be very inconvenient.

Seph Mack is so important to our boys. Making something father away makes it difficult for our large family at attend events.

My mother was camp nurse for 2 summers back in the 90's and I made many lifelong friends by being there much of the time with her. Would hate for this to close. That camp was beautiful and many memories made there by so many.

Scouts should have the opportunity to attend camp at a location convenient to their home. Additionally, the upgrades that Seph Mack has undergone during the past few years makes it a premier camping facility.

I spent many summers at Camp Seph Mack as a Cub Scout and I believe it should stay open! However, with the admission of homosexual scouts and Boy Scout leaders as a national policy I can see why parents do not want to send their children to these camps anymore! The Boy Scouts of America needs to reevaluate this policy so that the organization will remain viable for many years to come!

Do not close camp seph mack. It has made an important impact on my generations of scouts throughout the years and should continue to.

Camp Seph Mack has been a fixture for years for our Scouts and we wish to see it continue to be a site for Boy Scout camps. If you continue to regionalize and move programs away, many Scouts will not be able due to increased costs of travel.

This camp needs to stay. It is a vital part of keeping Scouting a viable option for youth in Area 6 of the LHC. We will lose many youth and adults alike If Seph Mack is closed. Perhaps a little updating of facilities and program would have it be more attractive for increased use?

Eagle is for life. So should these camps be.

Please try other options to raise money instead of punishing the children

In the grand scheme of things, 7k doesn't seem like it should be all that difficult to overcome, especially in (what's now) a pretty large council - just need to be creative and get people involved. Be a shame to see it closed. Lots of good times here. CB Troop 4, Eagle, '02
