Going to camp Sephmack was some of my most fond memories from Boy Scouts. It allows for area scouts to explore many activities and enjoy the beauty of the area. It would be aful to see such an influential camp, to the development of men to close. I hope that the right decision is made so maybe one day my son can enjoy the same opportunities as me.

This camp has a lot of history and is a valued resource for scouts in this area. It is especially dear to me because my father, Gordon Wilcox, worked there for several years, serving as ranger and shooting director, as well as on Family Camp staff. All three of my sons are scouts and have tremendous memories of the camp. I would love to see my youngest, who is currently a Tiger scout, have the same wonderful experiences at Camp Seph Mack.

My grandsons are becoming strong young men because of Scouting. The camp is a vital part of their development!

Why would this be closed? Are you kidding me? One more thing taken away from our youth only to fill some loser's pockets. Spend your profits well. You can't take to hell with you they say.

Scouts in Cambria and Indiana Counties attend the camp in great droves. It is a good idea to keep the camp open to attract current scouts as well as scouts in the future. My husband, who is an Eagle Scout, said the best times he had in scouting were at this camp. We hope that our son, a tenderfoot can have the same experiences. I disappointed in the recommendation to turn the property back to the Commonwealth.

Do not close this camp, it would jeopardize our local scouting.

Love Camp Seph Mack! If it is closed my son will not get to experience such great outdoor adventures because we would be unable to travel to Pittsburgh to attend camping or day camp!

As a Girl Scout Leader I know how important it is to have the camping experience with my troop. We are so blessed to have a camp so close to home. Please reconsider closing Camp Seph Mack because the Boy Scouts of our area need to have that facility for their growth and development in scouting.

Our Boy Scout Troop 2251 has spent so much time there and made so many wonderful memories, but more importantly they have spend so many hours volunteering their time to invest in projects at this camp it would be so very hard to watch it close considering the many fine boys this camp has turned into scouts.

This camp is special, in so many ways. It is NOT always about the money. Perhaps a special fund-raiser could be held. PLEASE do not "jump the gun" and abandon this camp, which has made such an impact on so many young lives! Laurel Highland Council--please reconsider!

This camp means too much to the boys!
