This part of Middletown history that sign was also part of many people in Monmouth Co History as well it was always there almost a landmark to all who live worked and shopped in Middletown . we must save our history or no one will every really know about our past .

This is not only a town but a state Icon. No one has the right to destroy it or hide it. It belongs to the public. Save our clown and a public place for it to stand!

This is one of my favorite parts of my county's history. My ex-girlfriend has it tattooed on her arm, and I have Tilly. We lost Tilly and now we have to lose the clown, that I love even more??

I was not raised here but my mother was and seeing the clown let me know we were almost to grammies house. I am now 27 with a child of my own and I wish for him to see the clown and get just as excited as I still do today When I see it.

He's kinda creepy and misunderstood, but so is New Jersey in so many ways! I hate to think an actually authentic symbol of jersey culture is going to be destroyed for more condos
