another monmouth county landmark being wiped out... Very sad. Maybe they can relocate him to Asbury park on the boardwalk???

i would just like to say that I grew up as a little kid in Leonardo , NJ (now residing in NC) whenever my family and I would drive down the highway to the Grand Union grocery store and passing by this clown would always be a bit of a highlight for me while sitting in the back of the car. By seeing the clown , even at a young age it was a definite landmark for me and I knew exactly where we were located by seeing which side of the car I could see the clown out of. This clown was how I learned to use landmarks to gather my sense of direction and not only that but I found it humorous to look at this huge clown. Whenever I re visit NJ it's always been special to see it standing guard through the years. I hope the developers understand this and can assist in its relocation if they no longer desire it in the same exact spot, just don't take a wrecker to it !
