Music is a necessity to school, I was a former student of Mr Arsenault and music class and chorus was the only thing I looked forward to in school because the energy Mr Arsenault brought.

It’s an absolute shame and disgrace that the arts are getting cut. School committee better get their acts together. The arts are a very important part of education and life.

Stop cutting the arts in schools! Children need the arts for essential skills like problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity to be a few.

I would truly like to know how sports are effected during these potential cuts. The arts are crucial is youth development.

It's a shame that even having the choice to work with this art form is being stripped from people. For some people, this is what brings joy in their lives for the time being.

Come on this is ridiculous. Your cutting programs that kids love just because you don’t care about it l. Very selfish you’d never cut sports

The fact that this is being considered at all is a travesty. The fact that it’s being considered in the midst of a national pandemic is even worse! #savethearts

The school committee should be ashamed of themselves for taking away a program that helps enrich The lives of many students throughout the district. How do they not understand that music help heal so many hearts Nor do they understand how uplifts The spirit!!!

As a student who played music as a young student, I understand the importance of a good music teacher. Mr. Arsenault is well loved by the students. I would like to say eliminating Mr. Arsenault’s position is a travesty. My daughter is in choir and when she returns in person come Fall the ONLY thing she looked forward to was HIS class. This School Board is useless, ill-informed, and an embarrassment. Makes me want to take my remaining child OUT of the BWSD. I teach at the university in Bristol and find this move heartless and ridiculous.

In the aftermath of a global pandemic, we should not be cutting anything that supports social/emotional health and well-being. We need music. Save the music!
