The music program has been the heart and soul of my daughter's motivation for attending school. We feel so fortunate that she had many amazing music teachers support and encouraging her passion. We know there are armies of more students and families who feel the same way. Please reconsider cutting and focus on creative ways of supporting our amazing music and theater programs.

The music program through the years in Bristol and warren has absolutely changed my life, still performing as a professional singer and musician in nyc, none of what I do today would have been possible without the music programs through elementary, middle school and high school. I actually found my current job by visiting nyc with the music department on our trip to ny. Cutting musical and performing arts at all would be an absolute disaster.

The music and theatre program literally saved my life when I went to Mt. Hope. It gave students a place for expression, pride, and to develop a work ethic. These are qualities that make us better citizens and transcend our time at MHHS. Pulling this program is a misguided and pound foolish move. Please reconsider this horrendously short sighted action.

Music education is an important aspect of providing children with a well-rounded education. Music helps children grow in self-esteem, build essential skills and prepare for bright futures. How could you even think of getting rid of music education.

Getting rid of this would be so detrimental to so many students, this course allows students a free space to be themselves. Cutting this will have a huge impact on the school, we need a theatre department just as much as an athletic one. This just goes to show where our school places it’s values

Chorus at the middle school was the only thing that kept my child going. The arts program should never be cut. Sometimes this is the only thing that keeps a student going.

Cutting the arts is reckless ignorance. More people benefit from the arts than the beloved sports program. Why because you don't have to try out to be in the arts. It includes everyone. Is school about learning to be member of society, or about winning against others. Theater and music are team building exercises as much as football. Go without the arts for a day. Try it. No iPhone, no Neflix, no fashionable clothes and shoes, no Music on the drive to work, no joy. Sheesh what idiots. Get the priorities straight. STEAM not just STEM.
