How can this be good for the students at KMS. This is where they build confidence in themselves and form bonds with their peers.

My name is Eric Benny Bloom and I am a Grammy award winning musician from Bristol. I know budgets are the one of the most difficult things to balance, especially in the field education. However, music has given me an opportunity to lead the life I now lead, and that’s because I learned it ALL in the music classrooms of KMS & MHHS. Reinstate both the Music & Theatre positions PLEASE.

The arts program in our schools are essential. Cutting the arts programs in our schools would be a critical mistake. Music (in particular) teaches our kids not only music skills, but incorporates other core courses in it's teaching. (Math, English, history) etc. Some of the children struggling with core courses, can find insight in music to help them succeed. We are losing who we are as a nation and music is one of the only way left that our history hasn't been overly censored.

As a music educator, I feel the arts are a vital part of development and should be always available in any education system as part of the curriculum. This would be devastating and detrimental to children and teens to have their creative outlet taken away from them. We need to foster creativity for this generation of students and future generations.

Poor choice to consider cutting the music and arts budget. Careers, funding, creativity, and acceptance are all at risk...and not just for faculty.
