Please these routes alone. My elderly neighbor relies on the 30s buses for getting directly to his Dr. He had a below the knee amputation and walking is difficult,
The change in the route will put him further from his Dr.
As for me, I when I take the 30 buses they’re consistently full.
My beef with WMTA are all the non paying passengers.

The proposed cuts to the 30s buses will seriously and negatively affect local businesses, local property values, and resident mobility. WMATA should be EXPANDING service on the 30s bus lines, not cutting it back!

While WMATA says it will increase the number of non 30N/S buses, this doesn't take into account how difficult transferring downtown can be, especially for people traveling with young children and/or for people with disabilities. Furthermore, in the evening, northbound buses often pass multiple WI Ave stops (e.g. the 34th street stop at Safeway) due to overcrowding. Add to the existing infrastructure, don't eliminate cross-town bus service. Also, eliminating cross-town buses is another way segregation-by-transit will manifest.

This is a huge problem for people trying to get to the Capitol Hill Area. I take this bus often. It is very difficult to get on metro during rush house because the cars are totally filled with suburbanites and it is very dangerous for older people to negotiate the crowded conditions on the metro platforms. I assume the metro planners think we should get off the bus at Washington Circle and take metro to Capitol Hill.
I would also add that making it difficult to get from "west of the Park" to NE and SE exacerbates the racially segregated nature of DC. Is this what you want to do? How are kids supposed to get from the east side of the city to attend the coveted schools in NW and vice versa? What are they thinking?

The 30's buses are always overcrowded during peak hours. Why eliminating instead of ADDING? (I thought this would be common sense)

Eliminating/reducing 30 series bus service will inconvenience residents and workers all along the current routes. As usual, the costs will fall heaviest on those with the fewest resources who depend on bus transit. The proposed changes would also almost certainly contribute to added traffic congestion.

DC makes Georgetown and Glover Park inaccessible enough as it is. Eliminating these bus lines would be a slap in the face to every resident of this city who commutes to and from these areas.

Eliminate bus routes and charge more for riding the metro? Sure sounds like WMATA wants more cars and rideshares eating into its bottom line. This is the exact opposite of what this already transport limited area needs

The 30 buses on Wisconsin Avenue are consistently overcrowded during peak travel times. It is highly unlikely that eliminating the 30N and 30S buses and shortening the 33 bus route would reduce rider overcrowding during the early morning commuting hours. Even with four different bus lines there are regularly lines of people waiting at the major bus stops near Calvert Street, so cutting two of these lines would inevitably reduce the frequency of bus services in this area, making it even more difficult for many Glover Park residents to get to work. The consequences of this change would also primarily harm low-wage workers and students who are least likely to have access to alternative forms of transportation and who are also most at risk of facing life-altering consequences for lateness.

Without a metro stop, service is critical to the success of the neighborhood
