This is NOT a good location for a hotel. It belongs on 183! Not only will it increase an already crowded, limited capacity roadway but infringe on the natural beauty of the area and infringe on natural habitats. I deplore Mr. Kahn's bullying to get his way and forget about the community! I don't believe a word he says and promises. He's out only for himself!

We have to travel back and forth to work on Spicewood Springs and the traffic from people using that road as a shortcut to 360 from 183 is already horrendous. We live on Spicebrush Dr off Yaupon.

This type of irresponsible projects needs to be stopped. Totally against the project. We live about a mile from the proposed hotel location. We'd strongly support any effort to preserve the natural beauty of the site.

This hotel is NOT something this community wants. Mr. Kahn's bullying tactics will not succeed. Many more petition signatures asking that this NOT be allowed to go forward can be garnered if that's what it takes to stop it.

It would be HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE for the county or the city to approve such a development as this from a PUBLIC SAFETY standpoint!!! I've lived out here on Spicewood Springs Road for over 30 years and drive it every day, so I'm well aware of the flooding issues due to the 7 low water crossings as it traverses Bull Creek. The last flood we had, sadly one man was killed. He was a resident and familiar with the area, but was washed off the road in his pickup truck. Emergency crews searched day and night via helicopter for him, and his body was found days later up in a tree at crossing #2 - right at the corner of the property on which David Kahn wants to build this hotel/lodge. The road is regularly closed, often for days at a time, when flooding occurrs. There have been many times I haven't been able to get home, or have been stuck at home for days, until the water recedes enough. And flash flooding is a very real, actually scary, thing out here. There have been numerous times when folks, myself included, have been stuck between 2 low water crossings when the creek rose so fast they couldn't get to the next crossing before it became impassable - even sheriff's cars and EMS have been caught in this boat. And at night, it's especially hard to see the dark dangers ahead when water is over the road. To knowingly put hundreds of people, unfamiliar with the area and these life-threatening dangers, in this situation would be irresponsible, and practically criminal!

This proposed hotel is not only a horrible fit for the area from an aesthetic and environmental perspective, but it poses significant danger to hotel visitors (who will be unfamiliar with rising floodwaters and potentially drinking), as well as hotel employees and local residents (who will have to face significant traffic increases and stoppages on a blind curve).
