I've driven this section of Spicewood Springs Road every workday for probably 13 of my 18 years in Austin, and I can't imagine having a huge commercial development like this on that route. It is not an appropriate location for something like this, from either an ecological standpoint or a practical one.

Austin has enough development as is and can't sustain it at current levels. Adding to that will only further increase the mess and disruption of current construction efforts. Furthermore, one of Austin's most notable qualities - and the reason I was willing to move here - was that the city integrates nicely with its environment. Houses and buildings are generally integrated into the environment, especially on the outskirts. Hotels like this take away from Austin's allure and do nothing to meaningfully help the city and its residents.

This is an ill-considered intrusion in a primarily residential/rural type area close by a sensitive creek and the Balcones Canyonland Preserve.

I think the hotel is an extremely bad construction for a very pristine area.

As a member of the Travis County Historical Commission, I think the unique character of Bull Creek is worth preserving.

I do not support the use of our tax money to help develop a hotel in an area I believe and know to be a terrible location. Traffic is horrible in the mornings backed up a mile to get out of that area and stuck due to the bottleneck on 360. This area requires transportation be fixed first prior to any new development. It is preventing our students to get to school on time - 30 minute commutes for 3 miles is ridiculous!
