The two-lane road (Spicewood Springs) servicing this hotel is prone to flooding, which will cause continuous, major issues to guests of the hotel that the COA will eventually be forced to deal with. Annexing this land will prevent the COA from having to deal with this potential liability in the future.

This is an ill-conceived location for a hotel on all levels: environmental impact, traffic, safety and the clear opposition by those who live in the area. There are few places left in our area of such beauty. Please preserve the land.

Seriously? Seriously? Who owns this town? Come on hand it back over to the people in Austin who give a darn - and who gives a darn about the wildlife before taking away their habitat with bulldozers and simply chopping down the trees? Incredible. People who build and chop down trees and destroy wildlife habitat need to be held accountable - create preserves etc. Seriously.

Please do not let this developer ruin this beautiful area. There are so many reasons that this is a terrible idea, whether you look at it from the perspective of the environment (water quality), safety (both for those in the neighborhood and those staying at the hotel - flooding, traffic, emergency vehicle access), or just simply from the perspective that this is a beautiful area that warrants preserving. I can't see any reason that this makes sense for anyone other than the developer. He doesn't even have the future customers' interests in mind (he doesn't care if they drown because they don't understand the risks of the flooding in the area). Please stop him from implementing this terrible idea and ruining this environment for all of our sakes.

This is one of the last unspoiled roads in this ever changing city. We need to preserve the nature and water and hinder development of any kind, specifically a hotel!

This is a terrible development idea. At some point common sense needs take priority over profit and this development should go where it belongs which is NOT anywhere nearby. Sounds more like a downtown maybe Riverside type development NOT this area. Come on Austin! Stop prostituting our beautiful city to people who don't love nature and are trying to build up every open space left!

Bad Idea from a safety standpoint. Many already speed on Spicewood and will never see cars coming out of the Hotel onto the windy one lane Old Spicewood road.
Someone already died a few years ago.
