Austin has already lost too much of its natural beauty due to over development. This is one of the few areas that is still beautiful and should be saved as parkland. Developers seem to have more influence than the rest of us.

this commercial project is totally not appropriate for this rural venue in a critical environmental area, and an already overloaded road system.
the present owner is showing complete disregard for these community concerns.

This road has more sharp curves surrounding more unprotected low water flood crossings per mile than likely any stretch of road in central Texas. And without any shoulders, the paint lines and large trees can be found just 6" apart. For unfamiliar drivers (i.e. those who would stay in a hotel) this roadway would be a harrowing slalom course of constant near hit and miss. It won't be long before vehicles will be overturned into our creeks, harming passengers, hikers and leaking oil and gas into our precious aquifer. This is Recipe For Disaster 101.

Bull Creek and this spot in particular is unique and should be preserved for this and future generations. We do not want to see it paved over and developed for the benefit of one at the expense of the many.

Old Spicewood Springs is a rare jewel - any increase to traffic would be a travesty! The developer mentions he wants the feel of a National Park? Then preserve this beautiful but environmentally-sensitive spot as a park and don't develop it for commercial purposes.

Please at least slow down the land development madness! Not everything needs to be turned into a hotel or condo. I'm a 5th generation Austinite and my family can not afford to live anywhere near town.

Bull Creek is a treasure of Austin. It should be maintained as a park instead of putting an 11-story hotel on it. The area is not setup to handle the traffic for hotel deliveries, employees and patrons.

There are plenty of other places in the city for this type of construction. It should not be done along Bull Creek which is very environmentally sensitive and already subject to many adverse effects from other projects.

My family and I go to St. Edward's all the time to hike and swim. If spots like this get swallowed by development, Austin will lose what makes it a great place to live and visit in the first place. Let's not kill the golden goose just so a developer can take all the eggs.

I love Austin because it's one of the last city's that fight the drive by big money to develop and exploit the green areas that are so vital to a city's health. Kahn can rationalize this any way he wants, he's compromising a beautiful site so he can make a buck.
