No one seems to be commenting on where everyone was when the attack occurred. I recently read an article about signs to watch for in a dog so they won't attack or bite. Was anyone watching this dog? This article says the first time he was admittedly provoked. This dog deserves another chance.

Euthanizing this beautiful pup is ridiculous. The shelter adopted him to a family with a very small child (should be kids over 6) - right after the poor guy had surgery. Let a rescue group take him and independently evaluate and train him please.

There are extenuating circumstances that should be seen as requiring an exception to the existing city code. Buck had just been neutered when sent to a brand new home. Buck would have been in pain, in new surroundings, with an active, loud, inquisitive toddler. This was not fair to Buck & it was not fair to the child. Chris Soupene does NOT live in the city limits & has no children. Buck & Chris have bonded. I currently donate food, toys, beds, & money to Russell Reitz Shelter - that will STOP if this animal is not given another chance. And make sure from now on dogs are not adopted out before they have their rabies shot!

I believe that the policies should be looked at. These cases should be felt with on case to case basis and not a blanket policy.

Save Buck ! ! He is too young to give up on his future. It would be a crime to not give him a REAL chance at being part of a loving family.

Please save Buck. The idea is to find forever homes ad Chris Soupene is a responsible person and is willing to pay extra costs to adopt Buck. Give Buck a second chance.
