Please give Buck a chance. To be in a shelter, then have surgery, then moved to a new home. How scary that must have been for him. He is still just a baby. He deserves to have this man adopt him. He is clearly wanted. Let him be loved!

Some situations are just wrong for some fogs. If the family of the 2 year old is willing to let the pup go to another suitable home, then I believe it's worth giving this dog another chance. Especially if the new owner is okay with the risk.

He needs a second chance, probably was still not himself from being neutered.

#savebuck A lot of eyes are on this shelter. They need to keep the dog's best interest in mind when reviewing their policies.

Please consider saving Buck and reviewing your policies. I have been around German Shorthair Pointers for 18 years, and have not met one that is aggressive. Any dog can become fearful around a toddler....it is up to the adults to make sure that the situation is monitored. And it is my understanding that this dog was recovering from surgery, which I am sure the dog was uncomfortable and could have become irritated while in pain.....the same as humans.

As a dog trainer, dogs do not automatically adapt just because humans want them to. It takes time, patience and the correct home placement. I see several things that were done to this poor helpless creature that set him up for certain failure. He should have never been neutered and then the next day adopted out. This breed of dog needs expereinced owners, by that I mean someone who understands the breed and has had this breed before. This dog should not pay his life for the mistakes made by humans and outdated policies.

They put a dog who had recent surgery in a home of strangers and a toddler. He deserves a chance at life and a responsible owner. Save Buck!!
