Let's save this guy! He sounds like such an amazing dog and I would hate to see him get put down over a mistake that could've been prevented if the shelter did a better job when handling his after care.

I don't know why this is necessary. A dog has found a good home with a good owner but for absolutely absurd reason it is being denied that opportunity, all because a bunch of so called "experts" want to wrongly diagnose an animal. These "experts" have no idea how to properly diagnose the temperament of a dog. Their job is to find a fitting home for these animals and leave the rest up to qualified trainers or behaviorists to declare a dog aggresive. 90% of all dogs are NOT aggresive. The vast majority of dogs deemed aggresive are merely frightened and\or over whelmed by the new surroundings. As a professional dog trainer who feals with these cases almost daily, and considering the overall gentleness of this breed, I know you are making a huge mistake and putting a perfectly good dog through unnecessary stress and anxiety. Any competent dog expert should know this already.

This dog was put in an unfair situation and failed by the shelter he was at. He is a good natured dog who must be given a second chance.

Don't kill this dog because of your mistakes! Back off your kill stance and place the dog with one of the rescues or the first gentleman that wanted to adopt him. Let him have the opportunity to work with a rescue and training.

Give Buck the 2nd chance he deserves! After surgery & put with a 2 yr old....not something that anybody would handle well.

To me the shelter is at fault for what has happened. they know that they made a grave mistake and in doing so this shelter will allow them blame to fall on this young pup who for 1- is confused from being in a shelter, 2- " the big FUBAR " of it all was releasing him out for adoption the very next day of having been neutered. was never given ample time to gain composure from the surgery. 3- they adopt him out to a family with a 2 yr old the day after surgery. what the hell did they think was going to happen. he was going to lay there all calm , fart rainbows and glitter. they shoved him into a confusing situation and he did the only thing he could do to say stop, help me I don't understand... not to cast blame but the family who adopted him should have known better the to take him that soon from having surgery... But it still all falls back on the one party who should own up to their big mess of a mistake... Face it shelter you know you screwed up. so you would rather allow this poor confused pup to suffer for your screw up... you should cover the medical bills for the family and let the pup live his life how it should be by allowing the other person (Chris) to adopt him out.
I truly wounder how many times this shelter has adopted out animals the very next day from having surgery or was there a time gap in it, or they have them return by a certain date to have surgery... Still all in all this shelter should be held responsible... Just how I read the facts in this...

Please let him adobt Buck & get him evaluated. I'm sure he will work with a trainer if needed. Maybe Buck is just not right for a household with children.

Please give buck a 2nd chance. Emily is fantastic with rehabilitating animals, and her knowledgeable of animals. Honestly what is it going to hurt to let her try? It never hurts to try something, and see if it works, if it does great, and if not then at least you tried! #savebuck #letstry #furbabies

Buck didn't get a fair chance. A two year old the day after a surgery along with a new home and family??? Not a recipe for a good introduction. He deserves a second chance with a family that understands his needs and who will set him up for success. Do the right thing!

Let someone who has no kids adopt him. Just like children , dogs are part of who "parents" and teach them.
