The shelters failings are no reason to take Buck's life.

T Russell Reitz needs to get with the program. I get they are part of the city and operate mostly on donations, but their policies and operations are archaic. Many shelters and rescues operate exclusively on donations and do so much better than Manhattan does.

Please realize ALL dogs are trainable! ALL but one of Michael Vick's dogs were at Best Friends Animal Sanc and got their good canine citizen award! ALL DOGS MATTER!

Chris is a good man. This would not of happend if he didn't let the family take buck to start with. That should be enough to know he has a big heart.

At the very least let him go to a rescue. Buck was put into a bad situation by the shelter, they owe him a second chance!

My rescue GSP bit me when I first got him. I didn't heed his warning and was too close to his face. Lots of people said he was aggressive and I should put him down. I didn't. It wasn't his fault that he was previously mistreated and me being in his face scared him. He tried to warn me. Instead I got professional help to work with him and train him. It's been a year since that happened and I haven't had any other problems! He is the sweetest little guy and very loving! Everyone that meets him thinks so and even the people that originally said to put him down are now glad that I didn't. Please please please give Buck a chance! He was set up for failure which isn't fair for him. Humans are the same way. My patients come to the hospital sick. They are is a strange place, surrounded by people they don't know they can trust, and they don't feel well. In turn patients get grumpy and sometimes they react negatively because of the circumstances. Try and think of this situation the same way.

Please, give this dog a life....perhaps a two year old is not the right match and it is not the dogs fault.

#Savebuck I am ashamed that such a community like Manhattan is so ignorant of dogs behavior and lack judgement and care of animals.

Is not his fault, don't play a god, you can't choose who die or life because YOU are an irresponsible and try to clean your mistakes.

This is so wrong! You have a responsible, knowledgeable dog owner, Chris Soupene who is willing to take responsibility and care for this poor dog...give Buck the chance he deserves. He was given to the wrong family and that is on the shelter...shame on you! Now, do the right thing for Buck...let him live a long and happy life!
