I think also that Chris thought he was being respectful to the child's daddy that serves in the US Army. This dog was on the shelter's adoption page as "friendly" (I believe). Buck apparently had no evaluation done on him in the shelter, if they now deem him a threat to others.

Please do not put this dog down. Placed in the right home and he will be a model citizen.

Just let him adopt the dog! You can't say the dog has aggressive tendencies of he was provoked.

Please give Buck a second chance with an owner who can deal with his needs. Provoked biting is not a reason to be killed

Its very rare that a dog doesn't react to a 2 year old in his face.

Please reconsider I have a bird dog. While some dogs are good matches for children others are nervous and react by biting as a defense mechanism..

This shelter needs to do the right thing and allow this man to adopt this dog. They made a mistake with the first family and adopting the dog out so soon after being out of surgery.

Give Buck a 2nd chance!! This sounds to be more of a parenting problem than the dogs problem. Poor thing had just had surgery & needed rest & love. If not use to kids, nor ever tested before adoption on how he did with children, it's on the shelter.
