Buck shouldn't have to pay for the mistake of the shelter and the humans. Please give him a 2nd chance to prove himself. And let him be the poster child for starting a movement to be this vigilant for EVERY rescue animal.

More likely than not the dog was unsupervised with the child. It is an unfortunate situation, and care needs to be taken, but I doubt this is a case of a dangerously reactive dog

Let Buck live. He shouldn't be put to death. That's just wrong when a man is willing to put it all on the line and take full responsibility for him.

Buck needs another chance! It is not his fault that the shelter put him in that situation, poor boy

What kind of shelter doesn't give dogs all of their shots before they adopt him out? And if you can't watch your 2 year old then why do you think you need a new dog?

I always thought a shelter was to provide a place giving protection from danger. Sounds like this Dog needs protection from this Shelter! If someone is willing to give the dog a good home and take full responsibility for him what's the problem. Isn't that what the shelter looks to find for all their animals in need?!

Shorthairs are not usually aggressive. They do need intos especially if they have never been around kids

I think this dog should be saved and adopted by this guy trying to adopt him. He was neutered the day before the incident and more than likely had the meds still in his system and If he did bite a child maybe that and all the stress of a new home caused him to do it I'm sure he was stressed and then also did the child hurt him ? Maybe, maybe not but this baby deserves a chance at a happy life.
