Get over your outdated policy. Allow Buck to be adopted. This was a people problem. Buck will be fine in the right situation.

The shelter set this dog up for failure-the dog shouldn't have been adopted out to a family with young children. Was the dog even evaluated?

I'm sorry this happened, but he should have had a chance to heal and get over the anesthesia before going to a home with a young child! Give him a chance! Do not kill him!

We need to give buck a second chance. Please allow someone to come in and evaluate him at minimum. Human errors should not cost him his life.

If buck cab be saved by leaving manhattan I would gladly take him. I have no kids and plenty of space for him to be the great dog I'm sure he is.

Animal shelter seems to have made several mistakes and used poor judgement in the placement. Also, the parents may not have been informed about age- appropriate contact for a toddler with a dog and maybe they weren't supervising at close enough range. Seems like a lot of mature, informed judgement was lacking and the situation could have been avoided. The dog shouldn't be the victim.

If the dog had just had surgery and the 2yr old fell or tropes and fell on the dog of course the dog is going to bite. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure or out
