Give Buck a second chance. He never should have been put in this position.

A friend of my husband's called and said, if I shoot this dog can I bury him out at your place. Bob said well yes I guess so. They brought the dog out and Bob asked why the guy wanted to shoot him. His reply was, he but my son. Bob looked at the little boy and said, what did you do to that dog to make him bite you? Of course the boy said, nothing!. Needless to say, we took the dig in and he has never offered to bite anyone. He is the sweetest dog. And now he has a happy loving home where he never has to be afraid again. Adopt Buck out to someone who has no children. Give him a second chance, don't just arbitrarily euthanize him! It isn't right!

This situation was not handled correctly at all. Dog should have been healed up and cleared with all shots and testing done before sending him home with anyone much less a small child. I'm certain someone there realizes this and will make the right decision.

It is never good to have a dog around a small child after a surgery of any kind!!! The animal shelter needs to rethink their policies. And they let a dog leave that wasn't updated on rabies shots? Unbelievable

We have a German Short Hair and a one year old girl and he is the most loving and gentle dog with her. They aren't viscous dogs at all! He deserve a loving home.

Thus dog deserves a chance. Let him be adopted!!! I've had GSP's my whole life around kids and this is not a normal situation. Let him live!

They shelter says they have no joy in their decision. They certainly don't seem to be losing any sleep over it. They obviously know nothing about the breed. Giving a 2 yr old a hunting dog--might as well have given the kid a Great Dane on a leash and told the kid to take it for a walk.

Any animal that's put in a stressful situation will bite. That's just a fact of life, and applies to just about any animal with a mouth. That doesn't mean the animal's evil. If this were a chronic thing, that'd be different. But this isn't a cronic thing. This dog was scared. That shouldn't be deserving of a death sentence.
