Don't kill this dog. This is poor management by the shelter. The dog shouldnt pay with his life because of their carelessness.

The dog was more than likely scared and confused in a new situation and acted out in self defense

I hate animal shelters and I hate the way people treat animals. These animals are just like people and they deserve a second chance. He looks like such a sweet heart.

This dog needs a second chance. The only reason he lost his first chance is due to the either stupidity or lack of knowledge of the people that handled this. They need some training. You don't release an animal that soon after surgery when it is going to be going to strangers that he hasn't bonded with yet. Being in shelter conditions to begin with, then having a surgical procedure and basically thrown into a situation involving a young child, without having a chance to recoup from any aches or pains following said proprocedure is ludicrous. He was"flooded". Poor Buck was set up for failure from the beginning. Then an offer is made for someone to come in and evaluate, at NO COST to the shelter, & it is refused? That is WRONG!!! Sounds like someone doesn't really have the best interest for Buck on their agenda. Which makes me wonder about any decisions they make for other animals. Please do the right thing & allow someone from the OUTSIDE to come in & evaluate. A party that is not connected to the shelter should do it so there is no bias. At this point I don't trust the shelter. PLEASE, give Buck a real chance at a good home.

I don't think Buck should be put down, but rather be placed with the correct responsible family that knows how to take care of a dog or at minimum let him go to a different rescue until placement. I am willing to foster if need be.

Buck should be given a second chance in a home with no children. There seems to be people out there who would love to have him.
