Buck should have never been allowed to leave the shelter immediately after surgery and without a rabies vaccination. Please allow him the aecond chance he deserves!

Dogs nip kids if kids are in their boundaries. It's how they teach their own. My dog has nipped my toddler and she is still here. Toddler has now learned how to respect dogs, just like all kids should. Kids need to be taught how to act around dogs so these things don't happen. This dog does not deserve to die.

Give Buck a second chance. I would hate for anything to happen to this beautiful dog.

Buck was most certainly put at a disadvantage, being placed in a new home, immediately after surgery and without a rabies vaccine, with an enthusiastic 2 yr old. He was feeling bad and insecure and not given the benefit of protection from the child by the adults responsible. As a vet tech of many years and a dog owner of many more (including two GSPs) I have learned that under the right circumstances, any dog will turn to protect itself and often land a bite.. Please take into account the unfortunate circumstances surrounding this failed adoption. Under the right circumstances, this dog most certainly would have given his all to protect this child, behavior common to this breed. Please allow him a chance to live and thrive with the right owner and not make him pay for bad decisions by the shelter staff. Thank you for your kindness in making the right decision for Buck. Sincerely, Poppy Hammond

Lots of puppies nip, especially when a)provoked or b) simply playing. In the UK, dogs would never be allowed to be adopted with such a young child - that was what signed his death warrant, NOT his nipping.

We got a dog from this shelter that was being returned for the 3rd time. He was destructive in the house. He was to be put down BUT we stepped in and adopted him and loved him for 12 wonderful years

Safe Buck, he was not given a proper chance. Things were mishandled Don't let this dog pay for it.

Buck wasn't given a fair chance. After being neutered he was sent home with a family with a young child, that was a set up for failure before he was able to prove himself.. Chris deserves to get the opportunity to raise this beautiful dog.

Please dont let him die. If a dog ever does something bad, its not his fault its his owners
