This dog deserves a second chance! He was thrown in to a new home with a young child right after a surgery! It was even admitted that at least the 1st bite was provoked by the child..so who knows about the 2nd bite. The parents of a 2 yr old should never have allowed their child to mess with and provoke a dog so new to them esp after a surgery he was bound to be sore and out of sorts! Chris Soupene is stepping up to give Buck a chance! PLEASE allow him to do so!

Chris Soupene deserves a chance to take Buck home and be the responsible pet owner he knows he needs to be. Chris knows that he will need to be cautious with him around children. It is unfortunate that Buck was put into a situation that led him to bite but it was a lesson learned. The death sentence is a very cruel punishment for all involved here but especially for the family who tried to give him a home and now only wants what is best for Buck.

In a home with no small children Buck would probably do fine. He needs to be given the chance.

I feel Buck was put in the wrong home, & if he had surgery the day before, wouldn't we all be grouchy, especially with a 2 year old. Two sides to the story!

This dog deserves a chance. Why did you adopt him out before he was healed. Shame on you

The shelter allowed this pup to be adopted without a current rabies shot? Seriously? Who is negligent here? If the shelter gets a second chance, so should Buck!

GSP's are neither dangerous nor aggressive dogs and are easily trainable and should be released to Soupene to have the chance to do an independent evaluation and training. Euthanasia is not an option nor the solution!
