Pigs have the intelligence of a 3 year old child. They can and DO mourn their families. It's extremely hard to rehome a pig or have a pig in the SPCA/shelter. They do NOT do well & can literally die of a "broken heart". Mostly due to stress and loss of their family. Pigs are social animals. I have tons of experience and knowledge of pigs and have plenty of my own.

If the City has already approved, with thumbs up, to allow Bruiser to maintain pet status. When a neighbor continues to their tirade to make things difficult, those actions fall under the definition of harassment. Remember, Pacific Grove, America's Last Hometown. If you remove Bruiser from the Hanes' household, PG should remove "America's Last Hometown."

this piggy is loved and totally cared for....he is a member of their family....a very loving, giving, and supportive family at home with eachother, as well as out in our community.

I have seen this little guy around the neighborhood in pacific grove and he is adorable. Just because one neighbor can't stand him doesn't mean that everyone else wants him gone. He brings a lot of smiles to people who live near him. Also, the family did everything the city of pg asked for the family to do in order to have him as a pet. City of pg don't flip flop because ONE neighbor has a problem!

Please allow the Hanes to keep their much loved pet, Bruiser. There are much louder, obnoxious pets & barking dogs in PG. not to mention the dangerous raccoons and deer allowed in our streets and yards! This is a sweet family pet!

It is so sad that one person can cause so much disruption to a family. The neighbor filing the complaint is utilize and wasting the limited resources of our City staff. The Hanes family is a great family and to take away a member is so very sad.

Bruiser is the family pet and needs to stay with the people who love him. It would be unjust to remove him from his home due to a crouchety neighbor who actually sounds like he/she is violating the privacy of this family.

Please let Bruiser stay with his family. Animal people are like no other, we acknowledge and treat our pets like our children. It would be like taking one of their children away. Please don't do that.
