the youth need somewhere to go, in order to keep them out of trouble. somewhere they can go to feel safe and valued. but once again the government that everyone chose are to money hungry to see that. the youth are the future and if we don't nurture them then what will happen to our future????

I just don't understand how closing down this service which is valued so highly by the young people who use it can be described as "investing in young people" support them - don't close them.

I am appalled to here the council is cutting funds from such a valuable youth support in the community. This is giving the youth the impression that they are not valued within the community. In a time where there is high pressure on youth within society surely the government should be increasing funds rather than cutting them from such valuable youth support services.

This country is always talking about how youth get up to all kinds of stuff they shouldn't including anti social behaviour and crime etc. how do they thing closing down a youth club is a way to help this issue? Answer: IT WON'T! Young people need our help and input, but are always the first ones to neglected when cuts are made. But we will regret it when they become adults behaving badly...let's prevent issues rather than reacting to problems later. It costs less in the long run.

save the youth centre I went there as a child it a lovely warm and welcoming place so our children don't have to be hanging on street corners because places like number 10 been closed down .x

Teenagers need their social spaces.... its their lifeline to informal advice, its a warm, safe meeting place, like adults have their pubs. Its so so shortsighted! Good luck with your campaign!

The recent history of Haringey has much evidence of theneed to help young people focus on the future rather than gettting caught up in problems of the present.

were losing too many centres and who suffers ... everyone the young people have no safe space which sends them onto the streets where they end up aggrevating others often unintentionally wo call the police who then have to come out to deal with complaints costing the tax payer money which probably costs more than keeping the cenyre open where young people have a place of safety keep it real people !

What does it say to young people that you will cut such a vital service whilst spending millions on Tottenham so-called 'regeneration' , Hornsey Town Hall and Alexandra Palace ? You still have SOME money. And in so far as central government is cutting what it gives Haringey,you MUST say no; why did the Tory shires get off so lightly ? And why do the poor have to pay off the debt, not the bankers and millionaires ? Tell your party nationally and all the Labour councils to speak out against 'austerity' and find a better solution.
