What an appalling lack of judgement by Haringey council. You are paying a consultation £1,000 a day but have no money for a youth service?

The youth are already the most disenfranchised in our society today, this is one of the few ways they can keep feeling they belong.

Save this youth club, the children need it to develop and stay put of trouble. It is also very educational.

It would be a shame to take away the one place that youngsters can meet, tyaking away the common ground will only cause problems.

Youth services, youth centres and youth councils are essential local support services and must be maintained.

When there is a lack of opportunities and or activities young people can end up hanging round on the streets and causing a nuisance.

We must support services in Harigey and not cut them. Our youth need places to meet and develop because it is a natural process for the young to meet up. What better way than in an environment that is supervised. If left to their own devises then they would form Ganags and we all know to well what that leads to.

I'm a youth worker whose young people have suffered from similar cuts in Newham. Keep fighting back and being powerful :)

At a time like this this seems a counter productive step. At least call the community together and look for options. additional involvement. cuts to adult community centres to childcare resources and now youth services. The big picture is actually very scary and the consequences are quite obvious.
