I have read the so-called consultation and the children are right, it is misleading and very crafty. Well done Haringey council, despite the riots you still have not learnt anything.

It may be non-statutory but it is hugely important round here!

Inrcedibly shortsighted proposal. Yet again, the future of youth services in Haringey is under threat. What kind of message does that send out to young people?

I stand with the young people of Haringey against this attack by Haringey council.

One of the worst decisions the council can make! These children need support! What a terrible choice to close the centre!!

This is truly disgraceful especially as the council are framing this as "investing in young people". Very low blow by Haringey!

We need to support our youth and spaces they can call their own are really important. We need more of them not less. As a teenager i remember how important spaces for us were. People moan (wrongly) that youth hanging around on the streets or in parks are intimidating. Youth centres partly solve this problem, but we also need to realise people in a group on a street or in a park are just the same as the rest of us and trying to socialise without having to fork out loads of money to do so.
