Audrey I fully support what you are saying,the way that this has been handled is terrible,the elderly are so vulnerable in society and the one thing we have to do in there later years is love & support their needs.RDC have said that if there is the same occupancy in Thornborough Gardens when the new development opens then Thornborough will close!!! Are you coming to the public meeting next Wednesday?

It is a disgrace that this much needed facility is earmarked for closure and now we hear that thorn borough gardens is also to close. As well as the stress to the residents what will happen to the staff ? wIll they be offered jobs down at the new facility at half the salary because North Yorkshire county council are getting rid of everything, THis leaves a very bitter taste in the community !!!!

please do not close a much needed Care home in such a remote area it is much needed not just the permant care but also the only Day Care for miles around

think about the residents and the future, one thing is sure in this life that we will eventually die and should we get to old age first I hope there is somewhere like this to help

Elderly people are marginalised enough already, please don't strand any more to loneliness!

Closure of this care home will cause stress and anxiety to the residents - please have more concern for those who's home it is now.

My Mum lives at Brentwood and we as a family are very happy with the care this home needs to stay open

I am 92 year old lady and attend Brentwood day care three days per week and is a great way for me to get out and meet friends and just pass the time of day.

Agreed, and they do a fantastic job!

A valuable and necessary service that we need to keep for those who are in need of a great service that is already offered

We are not second class citizens in the dales why should our residents have to travel elsewhere when this is home in an area they know and be surrounded by people who have an idea of how there life has been and who might be able to support there family on a personal level.

my gran suffers from dementia and is a resident at brentwood she gets amazing care the staff are brilliant. it makes me cross that they are trying to close it.

Such a great care provider should be cherished with our aging population this will be needed in the near future.
