I made huge memories here. I lived in Heidelberg while I studied abroad there years ago, and out of all of the bars in that city, Brass Monkey was by far one of the quietest. I don't understand the issue here and why it would be ordered to close. Please see how much people care about this place and how much richness it adds to the Heidelberg Altstadt life. There are much worse/noisier/unclean bars to be attacking in that city, and this is not one of them. Thank you.

Heidelberg should think twice before closing down one of the most welcoming and friendly places in Town!! It's outrageous!! Seriously at this rate they might as well consider establishing a curfew in all Altstadt streets.

The only reason there is "too much noise" is because of people outside of the bar (smokers, etc). So instead of closing down the bar, there should be a solution for this. Inside it is quiet compared to other bars!

The Brass Monkey was my friends and my favorite bar while on our study abroad. When back in the city it's the only place I go out of my way to visit aside from the usual cultural sites! It would be a tremendous disappointment were it to close!

Don't live downtown if you don't accept some noise. If the Brass Monkey was there first, the tenants should not have a legitimate legal argument!

Outside of Quiz Night, the bar remains relatively silent as compared to other bars and is an excellent place to relax and unravel
