Someone needs to stand up for this child and her child. The criminal is the one who raped and impregnated this child. Please don't continue to assault the victims by circumcising this baby against his mother's wishes. Also allow her to breastfeed. How can the DHR force her to stop breastfeeding? It is THE BEST for the baby and her. Please, please stop the continuing assault.

The baby and mother should be returned to the grandparents and left to live in piece and recieve mental services for all that the state has made them endure it is sad that the state is even allowing this to continue to go on

I am in shock about how many laws, Constitutional, and human rights are being violated in this case. I was THERE at the hospital. I have investigated this case and this family. This is the most unjust thing I have ever witnessed.

This little girl has been though SO much, and is handling it in the very mature manner. She is nurturing her baby in the best way possible, breastfeeding and protecting him from an unnecessary surgery that most people in the world abhor. She deserves the same respect as any mother, of any age, does. It is in both her best interest and the baby's, for her wishes to be respected!

If you believe that it is a mother's right to choose to circumcise, than you must also believe it is her right to not choose circumcision! She is allowing this baby to keep his WHOLE body, and by forcing a circumcision on him, you are sexually assulting him against his consent...which is what his mother is trying to save him from!!!!!!!

It is absolutely absurd the way Alabama DHR is treating this family!!!!!!! I do not care about the history of the sister and her children. The grandparents are perfectly capable of guiding this 14 year old through motherhood. She has already been through enough from the rape. But to take away her baby after only a couple of days in the hospital?!!!!!! And to further place her in a group home full of mold and bed bugs? To force a religion on her that she has no interest in? And now to force circumcision on her baby?!!!! Where are her rights? Where are the baby's rights? I hope this family sure the state for everything they can get. You people should be ashamed of yourselves!!!! Cease and desist immediately!

We don't cut girls genitals over uti's and they have more. The std argument is bogus in general and doesn't apply where condoms are cheap and readily avaiable.
