The LAST thing our neighborhood needs is more traffic and congestion. No to any development!!! Save the few green sisces we have to enjoy.

That area should be preserved as green space for the high number of people living in that area. Also there is Oakton Elementary nearby, and not enough need for an 800 student new school.

There is enough traffic on Blake lane. And this will only make side streets a disaster and more of a cut through. We don’t need a school. We do need the park. I am voting no to the proposed school idea. !!

While I understand the need for a school, is there a way to both build it and keep some of the green space? It’s the only local place I and others feel comfortable bringing our dogs. Other options are overcrowded already or a further drive.

Please leave the green space! Along with it helping with water runoff and being a place for kids to play, it is a great place to watch Fairfax H.S. fireworks. Considering how many commuters use Bushman as a cut through to get to the metro, plus the densely packed neighborhoods here, we can not handle the increase in traffic. Not to mention Oakton H.S. and Elementary are within a mile or two. I understand we need more schools for the growing population, however this is not a good spot to build.

We have at least 6 elementary schools in Oakton-Vienna, 4 in Vienna alone. We don't need one more. There more and more children playing soccer and more people enjoying the park every day. Building a new school and creating more traffic is a crazy idea in this place (Blake lane)

Save the park, I love taking my dog to the nearby park and playing games on the fields as a child.

Blake Lane traffic already backs up from Sutton Road back to Blake Lane Park regularly during the AM rush hours. How is a new elementary school at the location NOT going to increase traffic? Between school buses pulling in & out and parents dropping off children, Blake Lane could be brought to a standstill at the start and end of the school day. It will only be a matter of time before a traffic light is added at Bushman Drive as well, further interrupting the flow of traffic. Providence supervision has not been successful with the Metrowest Project and we've been stuck with a wasteland across from Vienna Metro for several years while the developers "...do not have any imminent plans to construct the mixed use core of the project..." as per the latest Providence Newsletter. I do not trust district supervision on anything anymore. Tysons Corner is turning into an overcrowded parking lot yet the development continues. There will be zero green space left at the current pace, and that would be a shame.
