My 9 year old son and I go here to play with other kids and our dogs when the playground is too crowded or not enough space- this park is so important to so many children as Oakton is slowly becoming more road than house/pedestrian area!

This park is so important to stay as a multi-purpose green space! Oakton is already so encroached by roads and traffic- kids need safe green open space!!

It is great common sense not to build on this site. Please, for the good of the residents who reside near Blake Lane Park: find another area to build the school.

If we truly have elected politicians that are supposed to represent the voters and not their personal interests for political gain they should listen to us. We don't need another elementary school so that the politicians can have some empty accomplishment to point to. How about saving community parks, play areas and green space. Blake lane/Oakton doesn't need more traffic and concrete. Oakton needs places where dogs can run, people can play, parks, trees and areas to decompress. We don't need to develop and lay asphalt and concrete on every blade of grass. Use the school bonds to improve what we have, not to buy land.

I live next to Blake Lane Park and it is the closest and best park to take my dog. Please do not take this away.

Blake Lane park is a vital green space for our neighborhood. In fact, it is the only green space in this section of Oakton (Borge Park having a set of swings and basketball pad only). It is a gathering spot for families doing sport activities, dog owners, and others? Blake Lane park is what makes this part of Oakton a true neighborhood, rather than another faceless group of subdivisions. Please reconsider this ill-advised action. Of concern is the lack of community outreach prior to making this decision, especially given the huge impact on our community.

I don't want the park leave us, and if there's a school there, the traffic must be horrible, we can't use our park to fill up someone's greed!

We don't have enough open green land in the area. Taking away this small piece of nature should be a crime, not in the legal sense. If in the future the land is used for something else, I would hope it is something that will contribute to the neighborhood and not take away from it, like a school.

How dare you even think about removing the park from the community!? We love the dog park and the open space there. Let’s keep this place fresh, clean, and let it be a place for everyone to enjoy around Oakton!!

I love the dog perk and is a major reason why me and my wife moved here 4 years ago. I own a 15 year old pug that loves the fresh green grass and so do I as a person that loves nature! Leave the park alone we will stand and fight for this as a community

Save the Park and keep even more TRAFFIC AWAY from Blake Lane and neighborhood houses and condos. You have Oakton Elementary School.

I grew up on this field/land and played countless games on it with friends growing up, and we continue to use it today. Stop destroying the lands we have left to use for personal recreation
