Save Blake Lane Park

One of the best things about this neighborhood is seeing kids play soccer in the green space and the dog park. We have so much built-up already I would hate to see that green space turn into more construction. In addition, it’s going to make the traffic turning on and off of Bushman and Blake miserable. Please consider another location for this elementary school.

I want the park to stay. There is already a high school near by. There doesn't need to be an additional school within less than a mile of Oakton High School.

I hope the dog park stays and that the schools in the area increase their footprints to accommodate the 800 students. There are many schools in the area that if rezoned can handle the increase in pupils.

Fairfax County has gone out of control, from raising the percentage of our income that they take for their property taxes to meet their budget to wasting money on roundabouts that the majority of people do not want and end up causing more accidents than they prevent; as well as, inconveniencing the rest of us...And now they want to take away our community park space, something that inner cities even strive to preserve. For once, please listen to your constituents, the people who live in that community, and pay taxes, and vote, and have to live with all the decisions that you make. Listen to these people and make your decision based on what THEY want and not sitting by sitting behind a desk, emailing and proselytizing on the phone, and pushing paper and doing what you want. Don’t further disenfranchise the people who live in this community, who you are supposed to serve and represent. Do something FOR us, and not something for government contractors or so that you can say you brought jobs to the area or whatever. SAVE OUR PARK AND PRESERVE ONE OF OUR ONLY REMAINING SANCTUARIES PLEASE ! ! !

I vote no for putting an elementary school at the Blake Lane location. Traffic is already heavy due to Oakton High School as well as people going to the metro. Also this will take away the only green space for children as well as pets.

Please save this much enjoyed green space in Oakton! Why add to traffic congestion when there's an elementary school within one mile radius already - Mosby Woods Elementary? And Oakton Elementary just had renovations, too! Save the Blake Lane Park for our community!
