As a resident of a townhouse in Concord village I strongly oppose constructing the school at the site of the park.

Save the dog park! This is the only dog park in our area. We don't want more schools and traffic!

If it’s just about finding more ways to spend our taxes on things we don’t want maybe we could just build a couple of more round-a-bouts on Hunter Mill Rd and not destroy Blake Lane Park.

Everyone please do whatever you can to support this cause. Fairfax County and the school board have kind of tried to sneak this through as usual because no one was paying attention. Now we need to pay attention! And we need to make sure they pay attention to us - the people who live here, the people who pay taxes here, the people who they are elected to represent. I hate going to meetings believe me but I will be sure to attend every one to Save Blake Lane Park. Destroying the park is wrong and once it is gone it will not be back - it will be too late to do anything about it. Everyone please try to do whatever you can. GO TO THE MEETINGS and show Fairfax County & the School Board the amount of opposition they are up against. Show Fairfax County & the School Board that we know there are other more feasible venues than just destroying green spaces and raising taxes. Show Fairfax County & the School Board that we will NOT be disenfranchised and that we will NOT have our community hijacked and that we WILL have our wishes respected. This beautiful natural green space is ours to enjoy and they will not tell us what they are going to do with it or that we can no longer have it. Please take a few minutes to Send an email or a letter to Providence District, give them a call and tell them to find an alternative and not to destroy our park, sign the petition, and go to the meetings if you can and SAVE BLAKE LANE PARK!

I would hate to see Blake Lane park disappear, especially the dog park where I have spent many happy hours with my dogs over past nearly 20 years.

The traffic on Blake Ln by this part is heavy enough without a school. In addition, you would be disrupting a quiet, runners/walkers and family-friendly neighborhood with the traffic that a new school would bring.

It is most upsetting to me that some in the county want to develop this property. No! Parks are needed by people as much as schools. Just a few miles away there is open land. Take some of those lands from the rich and stop stealing what little green space the poorer citizens have access to.

Lived in area over 30 years and still must plan carefully to avoid all traffic, particularly a.m. & p.m. rush hour, using Bushman Dr as a short cut off Blake & Jermantown. More traffic from a school only compound that effect on the entire community making travel more congested and, with all the unmarked lanes, most dangerous at many times.

I think the park should be left as it is. find another site for school.

Ridiculous idea. Save the park! If you want a school put it near the Vienna Metro where the children come from.
