We, the members of the Bengaluru Bike Taxi Association and concerned citizens, urge the Government of Karnataka and the Bengaluru Transport Department to recognize, regulate, and preserve the operations of bike taxi services in the city. These services provide affordable, efficient, and eco-friendly last-mile transportation and livelihood to thousands.

Bengaluru is a city known for its innovation and tech-driven spirit—but it is also plagued by severe traffic congestion and rising pollution levels. In this context, bike taxis have emerged as a vital solution for:

First and last-mile connectivity

Affordable urban mobility for the common citizen

Reduced carbon footprint compared to cars and autos

Livelihood for over 50,000 bike taxi riders—many of whom are students, gig workers, and unemployed youth

Despite the public demand and socio-economic benefits, bike taxis are being unfairly targeted, restricted, and penalized under existing policies that do not recognize their role in the modern transport ecosystem.

We demand:

1. Legal recognition and regulatory framework for bike taxis in Karnataka

2. Protection for riders from police harassment and unjustified fines

3. Issuance of clear, inclusive guidelines for operation and licensing

4. Dialogue with associations like ours to shape policies that support innovation and inclusion

Every citizen deserves the right to choose affordable and efficient transportation. And every rider deserves the right to earn a dignified living.

50,000 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬೈಕ್ ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿ ಸವಾರರಿಗೆ ಜೀವನೋಪಾಯ - ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಗಿಗ್ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗಿ ಯುವಕರು.

ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ-ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಗಳ ಹೊರತಾಗಿಯೂ, ಆಧುನಿಕ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಸರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೈಕ್ ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸದ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀತಿಗಳ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ, ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ನಾವು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ:

1. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೈಕ್ ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾನೂನು ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಕ ಚೌಕಟ್ಟು

2. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ಮತ್ತು ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ದಂಡಗಳಿಂದ ಸವಾರರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ

3. ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರವಾನಗಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ, ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುವುದು

4. ನಾವೀನ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವ ನೀತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲು ನಮ್ಮಂತಹ ಸಂಘಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಾದ

ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ನಾಗರಿಕನು ಕೈಗೆಟುಕುವ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಸಾರಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಸವಾರನು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸುವ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಬೈಕ್ ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜೀವನೋಪಾಯವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಈ ಅರ್ಜಿಗೆ ಸಹಿ ಮಾಡಿ.
